So the other day I submitted my Boko(BolinxToko) comics and never really explained them. First off let me tell you a little bit about my OC Toko, she is an Earth bender and when she was only six years old she got abandoned by her parents due to her lack of control on her bending, weak, alone, scarred and on the verge of dying she was taken in by the Triple Threats, where they gave her three meals a day, a warm place to sleep and a roof over her head. But of course happiness came with a price. The Triple Threats knew about Toko's uncontrollable 'gift' and they often used her to do their dirty work. Toko knew it was wrong but after being left in the city by the two people who were suppose to guide her through the decisions of right and wrong why would she care now. She knew this was the only way to keep on surviving. Luckily this type of survival did not last long, a year after being brought in by the Triple Threats she was arrested by Lin Beifong's team of metal benders. They were much easier on her than the other gang members, what were they going to do arrest a child that had no other choice left? But still action had to be done, they resorted to someone had to be this girl's care-taker, teach her how to control her emotions thus her bending. Nobody was eager to uptake this challenge, the hassle and danger were too great, but not for Lin of course. Instead of looking at Toko like she was just some monster that needed to be tamed she saw a pained child that needed guidance. Of course the first few years were hellish, Toko couldn't trust anybody even herself, if her parents couldn't even help her control her bending how could some stranger do so. But soon enough she learned, it was life-draining process but she was able to control herself but again at a cost. Since her bending was triggered by her emotions she believed that having no emotions could stop her from causing any more harm. This was not Lin's intention but she hasn't been able to convince Toko to think differently. Toko now spends her days training at the academy, but after the various events that took place in republic city Lin has asked for her to assist her and the Avatar on their missions to help restore peace to republic city.
The story takes place during the 6 month interval between seasons 1 and 2 of LoK, right after Amon has been exposed.
